2009 seven inch vinyl box set containing reproductions of the first 10 solo singles from the former Smiths frontman released between '88 and '91. Following the Smiths split in 1987 at the height of their creative powers and popularity, Morrissey lost his co-writer Johnny Marr in what is considered one of the most productive partnerships in British pop, leaving many to doubt his ability to continue the quality the pair had produced over a prolific five-year period. In February '88 Moz silenced his doubters with the release of his debut solo single 'Suede head'; a slice of urgent, shimmering guitar pop, featuring the Durutti Column's Vini Reilly and produced by Stephen Street. This was followed by 'Everyday Is Like Sunday', another quality slice of Pop, and Morrissey's doubters faded into the background. For two decades, Morrissey continues to thrill his fan base and amaze critic with his solo releases. 20 tracks. EMI.
